It is only in the darkness do we miss the light

It is only when we walk blindly do we miss our sight

It is only in the night do we yearn for the day

It is only when our voices are drowned do remember what we want to say

It is only in fear do we learn to be bold

It is only when lies are spread can the truth be told

It is only in joy do we forget our scars

It is only when asked to conform do we know who we are

It is only in pain do we feel true love

It is only when we come from below do we wonder what is above

It is only in wonder do we discover

It is only one time slows down do we wish it would go in a blur

It is only an anger can we truly be at peace

I wonder if the onlys will ever cease
